The "Iron Oar Club" was formed in 2008 to recognize the top DRC Rowers. The guidelines are simple to make the club the athlete must break the required time for their gender. Upon achieving that time the athlete is posted on the ranking board located on the DRC website and ranked.
Congratulations to all that have pushed themselves to achieve more, may it inspire others to do great things.
Use the handout below to submit your application to the Iron Oar Club.
A big "Thank you" to all the competitors at the 50th Duluth International Regatta. Even though Mother Nature's cooperation was lacking the atmosphere of the "Ergatta" seemed to be fun and spirited.

A great chance to bring down prospective members to show them what the DRC is all about.
We will be meeting with all Junior Rower Parents after the Open House. Please try very hard to bring your parents to the meeting.
Reminder, membership dues at last year's rate are due at the Open House (Saturday May 17). After May 17, the rates will increase. Membership forms can be found on the website www.duluthrowing.org
New this summer will be a 10-visit rowing pass. This pass is available to adults only who have had previous rowing experience (DRC alumni, Learn to Row participants, etc...). This 10-visit pass is available for $100.00 and can be found on the membership forms.
Longtime DRC member Mike Cochran has written a book for the St. Louis County Historical Society on the History of the Duluth Boat Club (the former name of the DRC). The book is expected to be available in June and there will be a book launch event at the Great Hall of the Depot at 6:00pm on Thursday July 17th. There will be appetizers and the event is free to the public. The entire rowing club is welcome and he is looking for a good turnout of rowers. We have a lot to celebrate in our history.
